Technical CANYONEERING...

The Level II Technical Canyoneering course builds upon the concepts learned in the Intro to Canyoneering course and provides an expanded technical skill set that can be utilized to increase efficiency and problem solving. With the core concepts already in place, this course allows you to take a detailed look at common canyon practices such as trip planning, advanced rope work, technical anchors, advanced rigging, rappelling decisions, team safety, assisting companions, and problem solving. Understanding the thought process and application of these skills will have you in a position to tackle intermediate canyons with competent leaders and mentors, while providing the confidence to take on more anchor, rigging, and problem-solving responsibilities.

We will spend 1-3 days together going over core concepts with some time spent in a classroom type environment and the bulk of the time outdoors putting the freshly acquired skills to use.
